Abstract

ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) has transformed the business landscape as the risks of climate change and social issues become more evident today. As investors and other stakeholders recognize the risks posed by climate change and demand for a net-zero carbon future, companies are urged to take bold climate actions. Expectations for greater energy efficiency, a healthier working environment and a better occupant experience are putting increased demands on buildings. In this presentation, we will share the latest trends in facility management, and how new technologies can ensure buildings are resilient and sustainable – from strategy to implementation, bringing net-zero ambitions into reality.

Biography

John Liu serves as Head of Digital Service at Schneider Electric. He processes 20+ years of experience in telecommunications, IoT, property, health to emerging technologies and robotic solutions.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, John worked at HKBN Enterprise Solutions and his last position was Associate Director – Digital Transformation (IoT). As a founder of the IoT Department, John was responsible for HKBN Group's IoT service development and offerings in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China.

With John’s unwavering commitment and dedicated efforts on innovation, HKBN Enterprise Solutions received the “Innovation Movers – Business Transformer” recognition by The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation in 2021, as the one-and-only winning ICT provider in this category.

John is currently studying MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at HEC Paris with an ambition to harness the power of disruption and accelerate transformation, making meaningful differences to the community.
